Okay, roaches

This is a clear head roach. It is big. Before we started our trip there was a post some where on the internet about the critter that I did not wish to meet. We were going in to the dining hall for dinner and this roach flew into the hall. People were dancing. I think I actually saw an over 70 yr. old doing a moon walk!

Have you ever wondered

Where do cashews come from? From Cashew trees. I now know why cashews are so expensive....

The Turtle

One of the things on the check list was to see the Leather Back turtle come on shore and lay her eggs. Well we waited and waited. It was dark and just a small slice of moon, vision was very limited. Our guide for the watch was standing next to me and he pointed. "Don't say anything, if you do everyone will come!" It wasn't long before a crowd had gathered and we kept our distance while mom went to work. They said that when she starts laying her eggs that she goes into a trance.....nothing will bother her. The photo was taken while she was in her trance.

The Beach

This is the beach that Leather Back turtles come to make their nests. We waited for hours, sometimes in the rain. It was worth the wait.
