Our first stop was at Ferguson's Landing. From the boat ramp we were given the honor of visiting an archaeological site. The Santee River Cypress Lumber Company was closed down and covered with water in 1930 when the Santee Cooper Dam was built. Unfortunately, the ATVs were there before we were and most of our photos have tracks running through ruins.
